Gaz and Zim's Relationship | Invader ZIM Wiki | FANDOM powered by Wikia
Dib and Gaz's relationship is very tumultuous, as Gaz hates her brother with every fiber of her being, and will go out of her way to punish him if he crosses her. The relationship between Gaz and Zim in the series could be accurately described However, this has been used by fans as a romantic nickname for her in goes to stop Tak's plan, probably because he is aware that unlike Dib, Gaz doesn't. It was just Dib taking satisfaction in having 1-uped Zim with regards to Tak. dislike for the people you care about (and not just in romantic relationships, duh.
Dib was initially reluctant to believe that Tak was Irken, saying that he liked her, choosing rather to believe that Zim made it up out of jealousy. However, his investigation of the giant new Deeleshus Weenie stand shows that he was uncertain enough to check out the evidence Zim had brought before him. When Tak emerged from the depths of her new base, she showed a colder and unfriendly side to her, being very curt with Dib when he asked her what's going on.
She attempted to wipe the memories of both Dib and Gazalthough she realized that they are smarter than the rest of the humans when it doesn't work. Their meeting in her base was the last interaction they had with each other, although Dib did speak to Tak's ship on some occasions, which had her personality downloaded into it. In the comics, Dib and Tak's ship have spoken on multiple occasions, their interactions always involving the ship insulting both Dib and Zim, who are both hated almost equally by the ship.
Dib and Tak in class Even after Tak was revealed to be an alien, Dib refrained from using derogatory terms that he often uses to describe Zim, such as "space monster" or "alien scum". In " Dark Harvest ", Gaz didn't get upset that Zim took her organs, likely only because she was still able to play her Game Slaveand was "in the zone".
In " The Wettening ", Zim held Gaz above his head to protect himself from the rain completely ignoring the umbrella that was in her hand.
Gaz would have beaten him up if Dib didn't intervene with his puddle splash. In " Planet Jackers ", Gaz didn't seem to care that Zim was in her house, but rather was annoyed about Dib yelling about it. In " Bloaty's Pizza Hog ", Dib asked Gaz if she even cares that Zim's trying to destroy mankind, but she flatly stated how: This is proven when Zim triumphantly told Gaz he expected to be amused by her "pitiful" attempts to get Dib out of an "impenetrable" containment tank that Zim made himself.
Gaz promptly kicked the tank lightly, causing the entire thing to shatter and flood the room. Later, Zim also showed outright condescension toward Gaz: However, this has been used by fans as a romantic nickname for her in various fan fiction which is not canon. Despite Zim's demeaning views of his nemesis' sister, Gaz proved herself to be more than superior to the maniacal Irken during her escape from Zim's Space Station. During said escape, Gaz displayed her prodigious piloting skills, and was even shown to be capable of flying literally cockpit-to-cockpit with Zim's ship, even sparing him a smirk and mocking wave in the process, possibly earning Zim's respect.
Zim attempts to hypnotize Gaz with Pustulio In " Rise of the Zitboy ", Zim tried to hypnotize Gaz with Pustuliobut she was reading a book and didn't pay much heed to Zim's presence. However, after asking if she was sure she didn't feel compelled to gaze upon Pustulio and being answered with a threatening growl from Gaz, he acquiesced to her wishes and leaves her be whilst beckoning the others to follow him.Tak and Dib. They are tangled up in love.
The Hideous New Girl ", Gaz claims that Zim's voice is "making her sick", and then sprays him with soda however, it should also be noted she then sprayed Dib as well when he tried to thank her. Later when Zim takes her and Dib to his base, he threatens to "melt Gaz's face off or something" if she touches anything.
Interestingly, he leaves Gaz in the base without any restraints while he goes to stop Tak's plan, probably because he is aware that unlike Dib, Gaz doesn't care enough to interfere with his mission. Zim with Gaz on the elevator.
Dib and Gaz's Relationship
In " Gaz, Taster of Pork ", Zim refused to help fix Gaz's ailment, though the fact that Dib was asking for the assistance probably had a lot more to do with this than his feelings towards her. What's interesting is that his creation doesn't repeat these movements, instead opting to place a hand over his heart as if promising something.
However, after Zim hysterically runs out of the cafeteria, she says that Zim's hysteria during his escape was "kinda funny". It is debatable whether or not Zim himself has developed a crush on Tak, or whether it's his big ego that leads him to fancy the idea she loves him. However, the latter idea is the more likely. The writers never establish Zim's feelings towards Tak Jhonen doesn't approve of them getting together out of all the pairings, as he has confirmed countless timesalthough it is clear that she hates him.
Zim also mentions he plans to destroy Tak after using her to study human affection, which hints that he has never cared for her at all.

An early unpublished animation shows Zim kissing her hand out of respect, and her smiling and giving him a big hug before they walk off together, but Jhonen immediately disapproved it and it was left out of the final version of the 'love montage'.
Unseen Events Had the series continued, Tak would have reappeared, making her a recurring villain trying to get in Zim's way. In " Top of the Line ", she would have entered a competition among the other Invaders, during which their SIR Units would be put through a series of tests like a dog show or athletic competition. Because the script was never recovered, her interaction with Zim during the course of the episode is to be determined.
Also, Tak would've been accused of conspiracy to commit genocide on her own people in exchange for Zim's defeat, which he would immediately accuse her of treason.
Yet, it's unclear if Tak would have sided with Dib and the Resisty.
